There’s not enough talk about how PSG’s iconic Hechter stripe was originally inspired by a classic American muscle car. In 1973, designer and namesake Daniel Hechter got the idea from the racing stripe on the Ford Mustang. He wanted to bring that elegant look to football.
Fast forward to the 2026/27 Paris Saint-Germain Home jersey. The stripe down the middle remains sleek and stylish. A wider version, a fan favorite from seasons past, commands center stage in a vibrant royal blue flanked by thin white stripes.
A return to this iconic look strengthens the connection between generations fans and players, in the stadium, in Paris, and around the world.
“Fiers De Nos Couleurs” (Proud of Our Colors) printed inside the collar.
